Wizpresso's founder Calvin Cheng has been awarded the 1st BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize in FinTech

15 December 2022- Calvin Cheng, the founder and CEO of Wizpresso, is honored to be recognized by the 1^st BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize (BOC Science and Innovation Prize) in FinTech.

The BOC Science and Innovation Prize, held for the first time this year, aimed to encourage and promote local science and innovation, and development in Hong Kong. The award featured 5 major areas, including artificial intelligence and robotics; life and health; advanced manufacturing; financial technology; new materials and new energy, in line with the 9 strategic emerging industries proposed in the 14^th Five-Year Plan of the PRC.

Professor Dennis Lo, chairman of the Hong Kong Coalition for innovation and technology emphasized, “BOC Science and Technology Innovation Price encourages science and technology innovators to aim at the frontiers of global science and technology, to meet the major strategic needs of the country, and to promote social, economic and livelihood development.”
